My fantastic family!
How are you all?? The beach?!?! i am so jealous! although here im sure it was much warmer :D i think yesterday it was 27 ish degrees........ Celsius. i dont know that in Farenheight, probably around 80?? eh i dont know. um nope no floods here. its been pretty dry this last week. its weird, we get like a couple days in a row that rains then a while without rain, then like random sprinkles.... so i don’t really know what to expect.... i just always carry an umbrella. well let me tell you guys what happened this week!!! the truth is this, after the trial of our faith we are blessed. (i am sure i said it this week, but it still counts) and God answers prayers, and fasts really do work!!! we have just been praying and looking for someone to teach, and getting addresses and all of our compromises falling and ugh! what to do?!?! well we persevered and an absolute miracle happened! we got a call from the bishop and he said that a girl called the stake presidant asking where the closest church was and what time it met. he called my bishop and the bishop called us telling us this. and that she was expecting a visit today. so we basically ran there!! haha! so excited! we got there and we couldnt teach because there wasnt a man in the house just her so, we talked a little at the door and sang a song and set a time to come back the next day (yesterday, monday) so we got someone from our ward to come with us, roberto, and went! we taught the first lesson to her, but the amazing thing wasnt that she was actually there and let us come in (although that was pretty good) was that after we left she read a good portion of the pamphlet hat we gave her, she went to the lds website and watched some videos. and read some stuff! amazing!! so it was a breeze! she had some awesome questions, the spirit was strong, and we popped the question. we set a baptismal date for the 30th. today we are going back to follow up to see if she prayed and read and received a response, and to teach her about our purpose of life here on earth and the atonement. super good!! so hey we are all happy here in asa sul! hmmm other than that sunday was awesome! because we got a bunch of addresses and that was cool. hmmmm what more. ohhhh i went on a trade to a little town outside the city called sao sebastiao and that was really cool, because it was so easy to get addresses and to set compromisses. we taught a bunch of lessons. and met a super cool family that was super accepting and said that we could come back pretty much everyday. (i was there for only 2 though.... so i dont know how it is going now but....) and i got a sunburn!! yay!! no sunburns for you guys huh?? and dont worry mom, ill wear sun block next time. oh so you never answered my questions from last week!! so ill hold you to those this week. Anyway. but no i havent gotten any letters i am crossing my fingers for tomorrow because we have a training with the mission pres, and the assistants so they should be bring all the letters and stuff!!! so i hope tomorrow i will get some! yay!!! hmmm... well we had 2 people at church! and taught a couple lessons this week!! so things are getting better!! but we are still working super hard and doing lots of contacts, occasionally we get a really rude person, but haha i thnk its funny!! maybe cause i cant really understand what they are saying.... idk. this week i studied a lot about faith. i think its interesting because we always talk about faith, but what exactly is it?? faith is a power. i read the story about daniel and goliath. the thing that i love, is that he had absolutely no fear. none at all, because he knew that God would deliver him from his enemy. the thing that i think we look over is that he was being prepared even before hand, he had fought a lion and a bear already. he already knew how to use a sling. and then lastly going to battle he ran towards goliath, not having any fear! there is a lot that we can learn, one is we are going to have trials, all of us, but run toward them, hit them head on, because we have something much bigger and stronger helping us. God is preparing all of us individually for our own specific challenges. so we have no reason to be worried or fear. we know that God wont give us challenges that we cannot over come. so dont worry!!! I love you guys!! hopefully i will get a bunch of letters tomorrow so i can respond to questions and stuff next week! but the church is true!! i love you guys! keep praying, reading, doing everything you can to be the best you can!!! i miss you guys! sisters--have fun is school! work hard! play hard! mommy and daddy--i love you! keep doing what you are doing because you guys are such amazing parents!! i love you guys!!!
